Oct 2, 2024
Braun Strowman sustained an injury during the main event of WWE Raw on Monday night.
Strowman faced Bronson Reed in a Last Monster Standing Match on Raw and the former WWE Universal Champion appeared to sustain an injury following a samoan drop from Reed as Braun immediately began to have difficulty moving, which continued for the remainder of the match. Bryan Alvarez has reported on Wrestling Observer Live that Strowman was injured and the belief within WWE is he sustained a torn groin.
It is unknown how long Braun will be out of action following the injury.
Strowman did go on to win the Last Monster Standing Match. Both he and Reed were struggling to get to their feet following a superplex that broke the ring before Seth Rollins made his return and decked Bronson with a stomp on the steel steps. This ultimately allowed Strowman to secure the victory as he got to his feet before the count of 10.
Strowman only returned from injury in May 2024, having been out of action for a year due to undergoing neck fusion surgery. The 'Monster Among Men' has been a part of WWE across two stints since 2013.
