Members of WWE Raw, SmackDown, and NXT will compete in a battle royal on next Friday's episode of WWE SmackDown, with the winner challenging for Bayley's SmackDown Women's title at SummerSlam.

The match was set up by an angle on Friday night, in which Stephanie McMahon addressed Bayley and Sasha Banks via a video conference. McMahon noted the number of enemies the two have made across all the different brands, and believes they each deserve a shot at revenge on Bayley, through the tri-branded battle royal.

Bayley will already be in action on Monday's Raw, wrestling Asuka in a non-title bout. If Asuka wins, she gets a shot at Banks' Raw Women's title at SummerSlam.

The card for WWE SummerSlam, taking place at a yet-unfinalized location on Sunday, August 23, is as follows:

*WWE World: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Randy Orton

*WWE Universal: Braun Strowman (c) vs. The Fiend

*Raw Women's: Sasha Banks (c) vs. Asuka (contingent on Asuka beating Bayley on this Monday's Raw)

*SmackDown Women's: Bayley (c) vs. TBA

*WWE United States: Apollo Crews (c) vs. MVP

*Raw Tag Team: The Street Profits (c) vs. Andrade and Angel Garza

*Seth Rollins vs. Dominick Mysterio
