During his in-ring promo on the February 2 edition of SmackDown, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns took some shots at WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.

At one point, Reigns remarked how he wrestles 10 times less than Rollins but makes 10 times as much money as his former Shield teammate.

A new report from Fightful Select has shed light on whether there are any issues with either man taking shots at the other, quoting one WWE higher-up as saying:

"Look who we're in business with now. That happens all the time. One champion has a reason their title is more valid than another's. Perception is reality in that kind of situation. We definitely want to create that discussion. Do you value the guy who isn't around as much and beat everyone, or do you value the guy who is around all the time and Roman didn't actually beat? It's not an accident".

Many fans have reacted negatively to the conclusion of the segment, which saw 2024 Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes seemingly step aside and allow The Rock to challenge Reigns at WrestleMania XL instead of him.

#WeWantCody trended over the weekend, with the likes of Logan Paul, Ricochet and Matt Cardona using the hashtag in a show of apparent support for The American Nightmare.
