Aleister Black has revealed how The Undertaker told him fans need to care about the person behind the character in order to get over in WWE.

Black, who was released by WWE last month, worked shortly alongside The Undertaker in early 2020 as he faced AJ Styles at Elimination Chamber in February. There had even been pitches for Black to help out 'The Dead Man' at WrestleMania 36.

Also known as Tommy End, he has now revealed that he makes an effort to blend both his real self and his character into his social media, after some advice on the state of the business from 'Taker.

Speaking on Renee Paquette's Oral Sessions, he said: "I've always tried to have a co-relation between my social media and my character. It's also something The Undertaker told me at one point.

"He said, 'The business has changed nowadays. You cannot be 100% a character anymore because people are not gonna buy that. You're going to have to lower the threshold here and there and kind of let them in every once and a while because it's different. It's not (like) back in the day. It's not as protected anymore and people need to care for the person behind the character to an extent as well.'"
