The sparring between WWE and AEW continued ahead of NXT and AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday going head to head tonight. Dynamite typically airs on Wednesday nights but the show was preempted due to coverage of the MLB Playoffs on TBS.

Both companies have loaded up their respective shows with the likes of John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Adam Copeland, Chris Jericho, Paul Heyman, and Jon Moxley scheduled to appear between 8 pm and 10 pm ET.  The first 30 minutes of both shows will air commercial free, while AEW Dynamite will have a special Buy In from 7:30 pm ET of Eddie Kingston vs. Minoru Suzuki for the ROH World Championship and NJPW STRONG Openweight Title.

Tony Khan was in a feisty mood this morning, taking a shot at Vince McMahon while announcing Kingston vs. Suzuki.

WWE have since fired back, with a company source telling Haus of Wrestling tonight will be “a very clear example of how and why WWE is WWE, and why AEW has a long way to go.”

The same source feels AEW had been “lulled into a false sense of reality that they were somehow an industry leader by continuing to beat WWE’s number three brand in viewership” and that AEW “poked the wrong ones at the wrong time,” referring to Triple H and Shawn Michaels and them losing the Wednesday Night Wars.

October 10 also happens to be Tony Khan’s birthday and NXT are seemingly fine spoiling his celebrations.

Tony Khan has continued his aggressive stance against WWE, responding with an advert for Dynamite along with a message for Triple H and Shawn Michaels that simply reads, “Bald Asshole.”
