WWE Extreme Rules Spot Scrapped Due To Fears Of Copying AEW

A spot at the upcoming WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view has been scrapped as the company wanted to avoid being accused of copying All Elite Wrestling.
Ronda Rousey is set to challenge Liv Morgan for the SmackDown Women's Championship in an Extreme Rules Match at Saturday's pay-per-view. Speaking about the bout on a YouTube gaming stream, Rousey revealed that she wanted to use Lego in the match but the idea was taken off the table.
"I suggested Legos [Rousey responded when a chat user said she should throw toys at Liv Morgan] but apparently, AEW did that recently and we didn't want people to think we're copying. But I wanted to," Rousey said.
Lego has been used as a weapon in WWE before, notably during the Miracle on 34th Street Fight between Heavy Machinery and The Revival back in 2019. AEW have used Lego as well and the little bricks were used to inflict violence in the Arcade Anarchy Match of Kip Sabian and Miro vs. Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor back in 2021.
