UFC's Colby Covington has suggested he could be interested in transitioning into WWE in the future, but has described All Elite Wrestling as 'a second-tier promotion'.

Covington is a known WWE fan and has been known to enter the Octogon using former WWE Champion Kurt Angle's infamous 'You Suck!' theme music, and once again walked out to the song ahead of his match on Saturday night at UFC 268.

The former UFC Welterweight Champion lost to Kamaru Usman by unanimous decision in the main event and, following the event, was asked by the media if he could see himself trying out professional wrestling.

"I might go to WWE one day but you'll never see me in a second-tier promotion like AEW," claimed Covington, per Justin Barrasso.

Interestingly, Covington used to be involved in the American Top Team camp which, led by Dan Lambert, has become something of a staple on AEW programming in recent months. The group is currently embroiled in a storyline with Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle, with a match set for this weekend's AEW All Out 2021 between the two factions.
