In a move that would have implications for both WWE and AEW, as well as others holding sporting events in most sections of Florida, the state is going ahead with "Phase 1", a measure which includes, among another allowances, the admission of smaller amounts of fans into sporting events, effective as of Monday, May 4.

Within the statement from Governor Ron DeSantis and his "Re-Open Florida Task Force" is a line that reads, "Large spectator sporting events should use strict social distancing guidelines and limit occupancy of venues to 25 percent of building capacity."

This will apply to all counties in Florida, except for Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach.

WWE's Performance Center in Orlando is within Orange County, while Jacksonville's Daily's Place (where AEW has held select events) is in Duval County.

The measure also allows for bars, restaurants, and nightclubs, as well as gyms, to operate at 50 percent capacity. State theme parks will remain closed.

It is unclear at this time if either WWE or AEW (the latter of which returns to Jacksonville for tapings this Wednesday) will take advantage of the decree and allow for a small number of spectators.
