The NBA playoffs has forced TNT to reshuffle All Elite Wrestling's schedule and last week's edition of Dynamite aired on Saturday, August 22 instead of its usual timeslot on Wednesday.

The move to Saturday didn't affect AEW too much, however, as the show averaged 755,000 viewers, down 4.7 percent from the previous week. The show only suffered a slight decline in the 18-49 demographic from 0.32 to 0.31 and ranked fifth on the night. Only the NBA playoffs and UFC Fight Night were ahead in the key demographic.

Mike Johnson at PWInsider reported WarnerMedia executives were "extremely happy" with the ratings for Saturday Night Dynamite as it meant TNT had three of the top five rated broadcasts in the 18-49 demo. AEW also demonstrated to the network that their audience is willing to follow them to a different night, even though they were up against NXT TakeOver: XXX in the second hour. Rescheduled wrestling shows have traditionally done poorly in the ratings throughout the industry's history.

This week's edition on Dynamite has also been pre-empted by the NBA playoffs. The show will air on Thursday, August 27 at 8 pm instead. Dynamite will then return to its regular timeslot for the September 2 and September 9 episodes.
