Report: Original Finish To WWE Hell In A Cell Match Revealed
This would've been very different!
Oct 11, 2019
The finish of the Hell in a Cell match between Seth Rollins and 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt has been a bone of contention with WWE fans since last Sunday's pay-per-view. However, Dave Meltzer has shed a bit of light on what we were meant to see as the show ended - and it's very different to what we got.
'The original idea for the finish was that Wyatt would take a gimmicked bump off the top of the cage and be unable to continue and the match would be stopped. After it was stopped, he would pop up like Undertaker and take Rollins out with the mandible claw.'
It's unclear why plans changed, if this original planned finish is accurate.
Rollins and Wyatt haven't been seen on WWE TV since that match, with the exception of a short video package near the end of the night. Bray Wyatt made an appearance in a dark segment of Raw, attacking Cesaro.
Seth Rollins, meanwhile, is scheduled to step in front of a live crowd for the first time since Sunday. He has a match with Roman Reigns tonight on SmackDown.
