IMPACT Wrestling could be without one of their featured performers for a little while.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Eddie Edwards is currently injured with what looks like appendicitis. The extent of the injury is currently unknown, though.

Meltzer said: "I know he's in Nashville right now or was this [Monday] afternoon. Basically what I was told is it looks like appendicitis, which is not a good thing at all. But I don't have details as far as if he's having his appendix out right now or what is the situation."

If Edwards does indeed have appendicitis, he will be on the shelf for four to six weeks depending on which type of surgery he undergoes.

Mr. AIP has been prominently featured in IMPACT Wrestling for some time and he looked to be on course for an IMPACT World Title match against Kenny Omega following his and FinJuice's win over Omega and The Good Brothers at Under Siege. That match will seemingly have to wait, though.
