All Elite Wrestling's current TV deal with Warner Bros. Discovery doesn't expire until the end of 2023 but the odds that Tony Khan's promotion will be renewed are seemingly dwindling as the media organisation institutes more budget cuts.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that programming on Discovery is usually budgeted at between $400,000 and $500,000 per hour, which would appear to be good news for AEW as their current programming on TNT and TBS costs Warner Bros. Discovery approximately $321,000 per hour.

Within Warner Bros. Discovery, however, the ongoing cost-cutting is only seen as a negative for AEW as the belief is the media organisation will have to spend big money to retain TV rights for the NBA which will result in the budget for other programming being slashed.

AEW's TV shows have aired on TNT and TBS since the first episode of Dynamite back in October 2019. The promotion signed a new agreement with the then-WarnerMedia in early 2020 worth $175 million over four years. Rampage then debuted in August 2021.
