Report: Aleister Black's WWE SmackDown Feud With Big E Had No Long-Term Endgame
Black only returned to WWE television two weeks ago

Aleister Black's impending feud with Big E on WWE SmackDown reportedly had no endgame set in stone.
Black returned to WWE television just two weeks ago, after weeks of filmed vignettes, attacking Big E during a Fatal-4 Way Match For the Intercontinental Championship.
However Black, along with five other main roster talent, were released by the promotion on Wednesday, bringing an end to both the storyline and his time with the company.
Black himself said in a Twitch livestream on Wednesday that the storyline had been due to continue this coming week on SmackDown, with some form of confrontation between the two, but Fightful Select is reporting that WWE weren't sure where they were taking the rivalry between the 'Dark Father' and Big E.
It stands to reason to expect WWE to wish to use the feud to help develop both the returning Black and Big E, who has established himself as one of SmackDown's top babyfaces, but the report indicates the promotion did not know what the 'long-term endgame' was.
Creative had recently been told to stop making pitches for Black's character, but had not been given a reason why, while those involved with putting together his new gimmick and the story with Big E did not know he was going to be released until the news broke on Wednesday.
