Paul Wight has alleged that Triple H refused to have a match with him on a WWE pay-per-view in 2013.

Then known as 'The Big Show', Wight was involved in a feud with Triple H and The Authority and would eventually face (and lose to) WWE Champion Randy Orton at Survivor Series 2013.

Wight has now said, as a part of that angle, he pitched a match with Triple H on pay-per-view, something 'The Game' refused. Instead, The Big Show was permitted to knock-out Triple H to close an episode of Raw.

Speaking on the Talk Is Jericho Podcast, Wight said: "The whole angle with Hunter [Triple H] that one time, the fans went crazy because Hunter and I got into a big look on the ramp when they [The Authority] were running the company and all that stuff and scr*wing the guys over. Just off a look the fans wanted to see it.

"So we built that up and all that, and it never turned into a match. Hunter didn’t want to wrestle me at SummerSlam, didn’t want to put me over at a pay-per-view. ‘There’s not going to be a match. You get to knock me out and that’s the end of it.’ And that’s what happened."

It is not clear when a rumoured PPV match between The Big Show and Triple H would have taken place. Although Wight mentioned SummerSlam, it was at this event that Triple H would turn on Daniel Bryan and lay the foundations for The Authority, prior to when Wight actually got involved in the angle.

Big Show knocked out Hunter on the October 7, 2013 episode of Raw, which was three weeks before WWE Hell In A Cell 2013 event, so it is more likely any match would have taken place then.
