Last night’s CMLL event in Arena Mexico was a notable night for crossovers, as Chris Jericho made a surprise appearance to attack Mistico, setting up a match for next week. The Forbidden Door fever at the moment also saw ROH World Television Champion Kyle Fletcher defending his gold at the event against CMLL’s Atlantis Jr.

The reigning CMLL World Historic Light Heavyweight Champion put in a strong effort, countering an attempt at a Brainbuster from Fletcher by nailing him with an Avalanche Canadian Destroyer and a pair of big Frog Splashes to score the victory and become the new ROH World Television Champion.

Although Don Callis Family member Kyle Fletcher showed respect to Atlantis Jr. after the match, he did challenge the new champ to a rematch back in the US, though no official date was announced for this bout, although Death Before Dishonor will be taking place very soon on July 26 at the Esports Arena in Arlington, Texas. Atlantis Jr. has appeared on AEW programming in the past, losing out to Chris Jericho in singles action back in February.
