All Elite Wrestling are set to hold one of the biggest editions of Rampage in recent memory on June 2, but one with a unique slant.

AEW President Tony Khan announced during the May 31 edition of AEW Dynamite that the upcoming Rampage will be a ‘Championship Friday’ edition of the programme, with several title matches set for the show. However, none of the titles featured will be sanctioned AEW titles, with belts from AAA, NJPW, and ROH set to be defended.

For AAA, Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo is set to make his AEW return, with the jaw-dropping lucha sensation putting the title on the line against Dralistico and Komander in three-way action.

New NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Willow Nightingale is set to defend her title for the first time in singles action against Emi Sakura, with Willow having defeated Mercedes Moné to become the inaugural champion at the recent NJPW STRONG Resurgence show on May 25.

The NJPW World Television Championship will also be on the line as champion Zack Sabre Jr. takes on challenger Action Andretti. ZSJ has been a recent fixture on ROH TV, but Rampage will mark ZSJ’s second ever match in an AEW ring, following on from his loss to Claudio Castagnoli at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door I in 2022.

Speaking of Ring of Honor, ROH PURE Champion Katsuyori Shibata is set to go one-on-one against Lee Moriarty on Rampage, in match that will surely get the technical wrestling die-hards salivating.
