Miro Signs New Multi-Year Deal With AEW
Miro re-signs with AEW!
Mar 10, 2022
A former TNT Champion won't be leaving All Elite Wrestling anytime soon.
Fightful Select reported that Miro had signed a new four-year deal with AEW which will keep him with the promotion until at least the beginning of 2026. His original contract was due to expire in the spring of 2022.
The deal was agreed in late 2021 but wasn't signed for a "little while after that." Miro confirmed he had re-signed during a past appearance on the Kurt Angle Show.
Miro debuted in AEW back in September 2020, and after a feud with Orange Cassidy and Best Friends, The Redeemer established himself as a popular star, winning the TNT Championship from Darby Allin in May of 2021. He held the title until September when he dropped it to Sammy Guevara.
Since then, Miro has only wrestled twice and he hasn't competed at all since Full Gear in November. The former TNT Champion was previously dealing with a hamstring injury but Fightful noted he has been "good to return for quite a while."
