Andrade has looked to re-establish himself in the Mexican wrestling scene since his WWE release and El Idolo appeared at the end of AAA's Rey de Reyes show over the weekend.

The former United States Champion said he had two challenges to make. One was to Psycho Clown, but Andrade noted he has to face Kenny Omega for the AAA Mega Championship first and challenged The Belt Collector to a match at TripleMania.

Omega has since responded to Andrade's challenge, simply tweeting: "I'm a busy guy, give me some time to think about it."

With no date having been set for TripleMania 29 as of yet, Omega certainly has plenty of time to think about the match. The event often takes place sometime during the summer, but last year's show was held in December because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

If Omega accepts Andrade's challenge, it will be his fifth AAA Mega Championship defence. Since defeating Rey Fenix for the gold in October 2019, he has successfully defended the title against Dragon Lee, Jack Evans, Sammy Guevara and Laredo Kid in both AEW and AAA.
