Back in February, AEW surprised everybody as Jeff Cobb debuted in the young promotion and joined The Inner Circle as a hired mercenary. The Hawaiian Hulk then fought Jon Moxley on the February 19 episode of Dynamite as Chris Jericho looked to weaken The Maestro Of Mayhem ahead of their AEW World Championship match at Revolution.

At the time, it emerged that Cobb had only signed a short term deal with AEW, and he would remain a free agent so he could continue to work with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Ring Of Honor, and other promotions.

The former Lucha Underground star was the most recent guest on the new ROHStrong podcast and he said his recent run in AEW was a good thing for ROH because it will bring more eyes to their product.

Cobb said: "January 1, my contract expired with ROH. I made it clear I want to stay and work with ROH because I believe in the company and direction. My goal was to stay, but this opportunity came up and I took it. I feel it was good for both parties because people that only watch AEW are like, 'What's Ring of Honor?' Now they look at ROH and there are more eyes that wouldn't have been on ROH that are there. I think it helped everybody in the grand scheme. It was fun. Good payday."

Jeff did admit that he won't remain a free agent forever, as he said he will eventually "settle down" and sign an exclusive deal with a promotion. He added: "It's a double-edged sword because during my time in Ring of Honor, I liked being there and the schedule was great on my body because I got to heal from previous years where I went crazy and did a ton of wrestling matches. But during my time being exclusive to ROH, I missed people that I saw every weekend. There are pros and cons of being exclusive and non-exclusive. Eventually, I'm going to settle down."
