Former WCW boss Eric Bischoff has advised All Elite Wrestling president Tony Khan and the promotion's wrestling talent to 'shut the f**k up until you're actually competing' with WWE.

Khan has been especially vocal over the past week regarding AEW's competition with WWE, tweeting that he was looking forward to beating WWE's flagship show - SmackDown - in the ratings when the two programs went head-to-head on Friday 15 October. Since the ratings have been revealed, Khan has been even more active on his social medias.

The AEW President also said in an interview last week that WWE Monday Night Raw 'sucked' and has also openly talked about having more money than WWE.

However Bischoff, who has listened to Khan comparing AEW with WWE, has advises the AEW boss to stop talking, focus on putting on his best product, and only give it the big one once All Elite Wrestling is actually competing and beating WWE in regular head-to-head slots.

Speaking on 83 Weeks, Bischoff said: "If Tony were to call me and ask for any advice, here’s what it would be — shut up and wrestle dude. Just put out the best product you can and you’ve proven you can, focus on that.

"This is weird coming from me right? The guy that challenged Vince McMahon, the guy that gave away all of the finishes…but here’s the difference, I was actually competing with them. I was going head-to-head, real head-to-head! My show started the same time his show started every week. That’s real competition, so I’m a little disappointed in the rhetoric I’m hearing out of Tony as well as some of the talent man.

"Shut the f**k up until you’re actually competing and you’re actually competing favourably. And by the way Tony, in 1996, I was kicking WWE’s ass every week in a real head-to-head competition, not a cosplay competition."
