Back on January 15, All Elite Wrestling revived the old WCW pay-per-view, Bash At The Beach, for a special episode of Dynamite. AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes trademarked the name along with other WCW events in 2019, as WWE allowed their trademarks to lapse.

During a recent call with the media,

Rhodes was asked if AEW planned to do any more WCW themed events in the future. Cody said doing Bash At The Beach was fun and teased the young promotion will do at least one more show based around WCW. He quelled people's enthusiasm, however, as he doesn't think AEW will do any more events after their next one.

Rhodes currently owns the trademarks for Bash At The Beach, SuperBrawl and Slamboree, so their next event will have to be based around one of these old shows unless The American Nightmare acquires more lapsed trademarks in the future.

Cody said: "I have a good deal of trademarks to my name. Some of them are former WCW events. I'd actually say though its unlikely you see many more of those, maybe one, wink, wink. But I honestly think it's so much fun to have this EVP core and to have Tony Khan, this kind of creative brain trust to come up with our own stuff. Bash At The Beach was just meant to be something fun, it wasn't meant to offend anybody and it wasn’t done in a bitter way.

"So it's possible you could see them. I have those and I continue to trademark things that I think my dad had a hand in creating, but that's more about protecting his legacy for my mother. Not everyone knows this but she controls his estate and everything goes to her. There's no money in it for me or for Dustin, anything like that. So maybe you'll see one and I'm winking heavily, but I don't know about Bash At The Beach or the others."
