Tomorrow night sees SmackDown 1000 take place with a catalogue of familiar faces from years gone by set for a return to the blue brand. The likes of The Undertaker, Batista, Ric Flair, Michelle McCool, Torrie Wilson, Teddy Long and Vickie Guerrero are all either confirmed or heavily rumoured to be involved in the festivities, but per

PWInsider

, we have yet another name who will definitely be appearing: that name, is James Ellsworth.

At the time of writing there is no word on what Ellsworth will be doing at SmackDown 1000, but with Carmella freshly turned bonafide babyface, the odds of her dismembering her former

love interest

in some way have to be short.

The announcement comes less than 24 hours since the self-proclaimed World Intergender Champion made his IMPACT Wrestling debut at their Bound For Glory event in New York. For those who missed the show, James answered Eli Drake's open challenge for a match and lost.

Ellsworth's affiliation with SmackDown Live is pretty strong since the initial 2016 brand split. He took part in a couple of the big storylines while the Tuesday night show was consistently better than what Raw was offering on Mondays. Along with WWE Champion AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose, Ellsworth held his own in an improbable storyline that saw him score no less than three wins over The Phenomenal One.

At the start of 2017, Ellsworth started accompanying Carmella to the ring and would controversially win her the first-ever women's Money in the Bank ladder match a few months later.

James was last seen on SmackDown Live on 24 July, insulting and then being fired by General Manager Paige.
