AEW's Malakai Black: Paul Heyman Told Me He Only Had One Night In Control Of WWE Raw
Heyman was in charge of Raw in June 2019

The former Aleister Black has revealed that Paul Heyman told him he was only really in control of WWE Raw for one night, whereas every other show was 'a debate'.
Black was considered a favourite of Heyman's during their time together on WWE's red brand, with the former ECW boss serving as Raw Executive Director in June 2019.
Heyman would tell Black that he had big plans for him with the 36-year-old - now in AEW under the name Malaki Black - saying how much he loved working with the man who now works on-screen as Roman Reigns' special counsel.
However, Heyman once told Black that he was only really in charge of Monday Night Raw's creative direction for just one night.
Speaking on Talk Is Jericho, Black said: "Since day one, me and Paul meshed. I love that man. He's always been really good to me.
"He's been blunt with me and I appreciate people being blunt with me, don't dance around the subject, just tell me how it is, especially in this business. Paul had big ideas, not just with me, but with a lot of younger people like Buddy Murphy.
"He once told me that he had one night of control, that was the first night. After that, everything became a fight. Maybe 'fight' is not the right word, but a debate. I can understand, but it makes you wonder. I let it go because we were fighting tooth and nail to get me out of the room and to progress."
