All Elite Wrestling had a tough night in the ratings on Wednesday, June 19 as AEW Dynamite drew record-low ratings for the show with 502,000 total viewers and a 0.16 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. Compared to the same week in 2023, AEW was down 44.4 per cent in total viewership.

There were reasons outside of AEW's control behind the much lower-than-expected rating, with one element being that Black Panther was the lead-in for Dynamite on TBS as opposed to a two-hour block of Big Bang Theory episodes like usual. The night was also Juneteenth, a federal holiday in the United States, but June 19 was also simply a poor evening in the ratings for All Elite Wrestling.

Despite the rating, "no one is panicking" in the AEW locker room, according to Sports Illustrated. No one is happy about the rating either, especially wrestlers on the roster who were proud of last week's show, but it has simply provided many with the motivation to be better.

AEW's United States TV partner Warner Bros. Discovery noted to SI that one poor rating was "not a cause for concern" and the belief within the media conglomerate was that AEW would average much better ratings on Wednesday, June 26, especially with the return of Big Bang Theory as Dynamite's lead-in.
