SPOILERS AHEAD
Serena Deeb picked up a routine win over Kelly Madden before ‘The Professor’ demanded competition ‘more on her level’. This led to the return of former AEW Women’s Champion Riho, who stared off with Deeb.
Ahead of their title for title clash at Forbidden Door, Stephanie Vaquer and Mercedes Moné faced off after Vaquer defeated Lady Frost in singles competition. Vaquer left the ring to allow her partner Zeuxis to take Moné out, but the ‘CEO’ prevailed until Vaquer found a window to lay the TBS Champion out.
Samoa Joe, HOOK, and Katsuyori Shibata brawled with the Learning Tree, but Jericho and Big Bill had an ace up their sleeve when Jeff Cobb arrived to join in the fray. The question is, will Cobb once again be Jericho’s hired gun and replace the injured Bryan Keith for the advertised trios match at Forbidden Door, or will Cobb put his NJPW World TV Championship on the line against Joe?
Prince Nana hosted a weigh-in for Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay ahead of their AEW World Championship match at Forbidden Door. Strickland and Ospreay jousted on the mic leading to a pull-apart brawl between the two, ending with Ospreay crushing Strickland with a Hidden Blade.
