On Saturday, The Young Bucks deactivated their Twitter accounts.
Before doing so, Matt Jackson tweeted:"I’ve had a fun time on this app for over ten years, but it’s time to finally hit the X. I’ll see you on BTE!"
Matthew Lee Massie, The Young Bucks father, then explained
they had left Twitter because they needed a break from, "the toxicity" of social media and quit the site to improve their mental health.
Now, Matt Jackson has explained the tag team quit Twitter because it was taking up time they could have been spending with their families and it was stifling their creativity. Matt also added that he and his brother had taken breaks from Twitter throughout 2019 and found it to be beneficial to their mental health and they, therefore, decided to leave the site permanently.
Matt Jackson wrote on Instagram:
"First off, I acknowledge how ridiculous it is that I even need to talk about this, but it's clearly a distraction. My brother & I decided to leave Twitter permanently a few days ago. We realized it took precious time away from our families who've already sacrificed enough time as it is. Also, we've noticed how it seems to stifle our creativity. Lastly, after taking numerous breaks this past year from Twitter, we found it to be healing to our mental health, so getting off completely was the next step. This will not change how we interact with our amazing fans, as we'll continue to put out our best content online. Never be afraid to say hello to us whether it's on social media or in person. Thanks so much for the support. We love you all very much. Happy holidays!"
