Only days after his contract with All Elite Wrestling expired, Alan Angels will make his IMPACT debut on Thursday.

IMPACT Wrestling have announced that Angels will challenge 'Speedball' Mike Bailey for the X-Division Championship on their latest show. The match took place at the promotion's TV tapings on Saturday, July 2, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Angels was previously in AEW as a member of Dark Order but he left the promotion when his contract expired on June 30. He was a popular talent in the company and faced the likes of Kenny Omega and Bryan Danielson on TV.

'Speedball' Mike Bailey has been X-Division Champion since he won the gold in an Ultimate X Match at Slammiversary on June 19. He has successfully defended the title once so far against former champion Trey Miguel.

Also announced for Thursday's episode of IMPACT Wrestling is Deonna Purrazzo vs. Mia Yim, and Trey Miguel vs. Laredo Kid. The show will be IMPACT's first since Against All Odds on Friday, July 1.
