X-Division Title Match Set For IMPACT Over Drive

A new X-Division Champion will be crowned tonight during the Over Drive IMPACT Plus special from Louisville, Kentucky.

IMPACT have held a tournament for the vacant belt in recent weeks and Trey Miguel had already punched his ticket to the final following a DQ win over "Speedball" Mike Bailey last week after interference from Kenny King. The second semifinal then took place on Thursday's IMPACT and Black Taurus picked up a win over PJ Black to advance to the final two.

Frankie Kazarian was previously X-Division Champion after winning the gold at Bound for Glory. He exercised Option C soon after, though, and he will challenge Josh Alexander for the IMPACT World Championship in the main event of Over Drive.

Two matches have also been announced for the Over Drive pre-show. Bullet Club's Ace Austin and Chris Bey will take on the Motor City Machine Guns in a number one contenders' match, while Kenny King, Mike Bailey, Yuya Uemura, Bhupinder Gujjar, Jason Hotch, and Rich Swann will clash in a Six-Way.
