WWE's rather aggressive talent signing policy has been making all kinds of headlines in recent times, as the company looks like to be signing any and every indy star with a modicum of steam behind their name.

While the numbers coming through the door have been plentiful, WWE have missed out on a number of targets over the last little while. Notably, members of The Elite chose AEW over groundbreaking WWE offers, and Bandido went to Ring Of Honor instead of NXT.

And it's the Bandido situation that has given us the latest look into the apparent lengths WWE are willing to go to sign the best talent from around the world. According to Dave Meltzer of the

Wrestling Observer Newsletter

, WWE will beat any offers made to certain indy stars just as long as they can prove the initial offer in writing.

Dave also claims that WWE will double an offer if a talent agrees to sign on the spot... OOOOOOPH!

For the avoidance of any doubt, here's what Dave penned in this week's

WON

: "After the Bandido situation, WWE has made it clear, at least for certain people, that they will beat anyone’s offer for talent, although they did not do so in the case of Chris Jericho. WWE has told people if you can show on paper an offer from another company, they’ll beat it, even double it on the spot provided you sign immediately."
