Kevin Owens was written off WWE Raw television last week thanks to a sustained attack from a freshly turned heel Bobby Lashley. Soon after last week's show, it was reported by various sources online that KO would be out of action for up to eight months as he underwent surgery - today, the former Universal Champion provided a pretty shocking update on the state of his legs.

WWE.com

confirmed the news that Owens put on his official Twitter page earlier today, that he had indeed undergone surgery on both of his knees; a surgery that was successful. At the time of writing, there is no indication as to when we can expect Owens to be back in a WWE ring.

What chances do we see Kevin and Sami Zayn return at the same time to attack one of the top babyfaces on Raw? Zayn, of course, tore both of his rotator cuffs earlier this year and is expected to be back around WrestleMania season. Just a thought...

It's been quite a strange time for Owens on Raw in recent months and many will agree with me when I say this break from TV couldn't have occurred at a better time. After many months of being bullied by Braun Strowman, Kev was back on Raw with free rein from Baron Corbin to do whatever he wanted. Then, the short feud with Lashley happened, a run that culminated in a graphic posted around social media that claimed KO has lost the joint most matches in WWE so far this year (74).

Everyone at Cultaholic wishes Kevin Owens a speedy recovery!
