WWE Raw, SmackDown Sign Additional Wrestlers From Night One Draft Pool
Rosters expand...
Oct 13, 2019
After the first 20 selections in the WWE Draft were made on this past Friday's episode of SmackDown on FOX, a number of talents remained unselected from the available pool of wrestlers.
WWE announced on Sunday
that some of those talents have since been signed to Raw and SmackDown as something of undrafted free agents.
Raw acquired EC3, Eric Young, and Sin Cara. SmackDown's haul includes Apollo Crews, Drew Gulak, Heath Slater, Tamina Snuka, and The B-Team.
Wrestlers from the night one Draft pool who are still "homeless" are Akira Tozawa, Shorty Gable, Humberto Carrillo, and, interestingly, Cesaro.
Also of note is the fact that Crews was not actually part of the night one draft pool - he wasn't eligible to be selected until Monday's portion of the Draft. For some reason, however, WWE opted to assign him to a brand early.
The full lineups for each brand, through the first half of the Draft, looks like this:
Raw: Becky Lynch, The OC, Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, Ricochet, Bobby Lashley, Alexa Bliss, Kevin Owens, Natalya, The Viking Raiders, Nikki Cross, The Street Profits, EC3, Eric Young, and Sin Cara.
SmackDown: Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, Sasha Banks, Braun Strowman, Lacey Evans, The Revival, Lucha House Party, Heavy Machinery, Apollo Crews, Drew Gulak, Heath Slater, Tamina Snuka, and The B-Team.
