Earlier this week, Kurt Angle revealed that

he has signed a new five-year contract with WWE

that will see him act as a backstage producer and occasional on-screen talent.

It appears this new contract means that Angle is exclusive to WWE in all aspects of professional wrestling, as promoter Tracy Myers and

Yes! Weekly

have revealed the Olympic gold medalist has been pulled from a scheduled appearance at the WrestleCade 2019 convention in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

WWE are supposed to have pulled Kurt from the event themselves and haven't offered a replacement. A report from

Wrestling Inc

states: "WrestleCade Weekend co-owner Brian Hawks was told that Angle could not appear because they are associated with All Elite Wrestling. WrestleCade says it is not officially connected to any other wrestling promotion, including AEW.

"The deposit for Angle's appearance was returned immediately but WWE did not offer a replacement for Angle, according to

John Pollock

on Twitter."

This is the second time Angle has been pulled from a high profile appearance outside of WWE recently, as along with The Undertaker,

the former Raw General Manager was pulled from an outing at Starrcast II

.
