WWE NXT Draws Fifth-Highest Viewership Of 2023 For Post-Tuesday Night War Episode

WWE NXT remained strong in the ratings this week despite the absence of John Cena, Cody Rhodes, The Undertaker, and Asuka on the October 17 episode. WWE previously held the biggest NXT in show history on Tuesday, October 10 for the show's head-to-head episode with AEW Dynamite Title Tuesday.
For October 17, WWE NXT averaged 798,000 viewers on the USA Network and a 0.23 rating in the key 18-49 demographic, according to Wrestlenomics. The total viewership was down 13 percent from last week but it was still the fifth-highest total viewership for NXT in 2023. The four episodes ahead of October 17 all occurred within the previous five weeks.
In the demo, NXT was down 23 percent from last week but it was still the fourth-highest rating of the year.
Compared to the same week in 2022, NXT was up 18 percent in total viewership and up 28 percent in the key demo.
WWE NXT on October 17 featured Carmelo Hayes vs. Baron Corbin vs. Dijak for a shot at the NXT Championship at Halloween Havoc. Trick Williams was initially added to the match but he was attacked backstage ahead of the contest. Lyra Valkyria also defeated Tegan Nox, while Chase U earned a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championships with a win in the Bada Bing Bada Boom Battle Royal.
