WWE has announced a new special that will air on the company's Network later this month.

SMACKVILLE will be taking place at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday, July 27 and will air live on the WWE Network from 9 pm eastern time.

The show appears to be in a similar vein to

The Shield's Final Chapter

in that it's a regular live event aired live on the Network.

With the show taking place in Tennessee, and the logo incorporating a guitar, one of the headline appearances for the show will see Elias perform live. On top of that, two matches have already been announced for the event.

The first of those will see WWE Champion Kofi Kingston defend his title against Samoa Joe and Dolph Ziggler in a triple threat match, while Finn Balor will face Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura.

Even though it looked like Kofi Kingston was being set off on a programme against Randy Orton during this week's SmackDown Live, he's been put in a rematch from Extreme Rules (plus Ziggler who will presumably take the fall).

Nakamura and Balor also competed against each other at Extreme Rules, as the former United States Champion took the title from the leader of the Balor Club on the kickoff show.
