William Regal addressed the BCC on AEW Dynamite

After dominating wrestling news headlines this past week after it was revealed he was seeking his AEW exit to return to WWE, William Regal made a shocking appearance on the December 7 edition of AEW Dynamite to address his recent conduct.
Regal - who cost Jon Moxley the AEW World Championship at Full Gear - appeared via a pre-recorded backstage chat with Tony Schiavone, seemingly signalling the end of his run in AEW.
The video aired after Blackpool Combat Club members Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli defeated The Jericho Appreciation Society in tag-team action, and the two - joined by BCC team-mate Jon Moxley - watched on as Schiavone aired a video said to have been recorded two weeks ago, ahead of MJF’s cowardly attack on Regal last week.
In the video, Regal explained that he did what he did because the BCC didn’t need him anymore, and Moxley, Castagnoli, and Bryan Danielson had all the tools to build Yuta into a world-class talent without Regal’s help. As for his betrayal of Moxley, Regal said it was one final lesson; always be one step ahead, and always have eyes in the back of your head. Regal then said he’d be BCC until the day he dies.
After Full Gear in November, rumours swirled suggesting that Regal wanted to return to WWE, with the attack by MJF used to write Regal out of AEW. Regal’s son Charlie Dempsey currently competes for WWE NXT and The Gentleman Villain will return to the company to be with his son in the new year.
