Hangman Page was too busy to answer CM Punk's challenge.

In a reportedly unscripted moment on last week's edition of Dynamite, CM Punk suddenly called out Hangman Page, challenging him to an AEW World Title match right there, right now. As the moment was not planned, the former AEW World Champion did not make his way to the ring, which Punk called "coward sh*t."

While Page not answering Punk's callout was initially not explained in storyline, that all changed during Being The Elite when The Anxious Millenial Cowboy was shown backstage training Dark Order for their upcoming AEW Trios Title Tournament match. The training was interrupted by Jeff Jones, who told Page about Punk calling him out, but everyone in the room simply screamed at Jeff before he left and they got back to doing leapfrogs.

It was also noted during the segment that Evil Uno will be in Germany for Gamescom and will, therefore, be unable to compete in the tournament. This would seemingly pave the way for Page to team with John Silver and Alex Reynolds as The Good, The Bad, and The Hungee unless AEW opt to go with 10 instead.

Punk's callout was reportedly a receipt for Hangman as the AEW World Champion was unhappy with a promo of Page's that he cut during the build to their match at Double Or Nothing. The situation was said to have divided the AEW locker room and talents are at their "breaking point" due to the recent backstage drama.
