Wheeler Yuta Comments On Being ROH Pure Champion
Wheeler Yuta speaks about the expectations of being ROH Pure Champion

Wheeler Yuta recently spoke to WrestlingInc about becoming ROH Pure Champion, and the sense of expectation he feels as a result.
The AEW roster member explained the feeling backstage immediately after winning the title from Josh Woods at SuperCard of Honor XV in April.
"I think it’s really positive just to have all these great guys, it makes you have to step up your game. When [Joe] made his debut it was at SuperCard, the same show when I won the Pure title. So I'm walking back with the Pure title on my shoulder, I’m like ‘Oh yeah, I did it, I am pretty proud of myself’ and none of us had seen him all day [...] and then I look over and Samoa Joe’s walking past me, and I’m like ‘alright, this is real, this is a real thing.’
"I have to be able to uphold what Ring of Honor’s past has been, and what it’s going to be in the future. The torch has been passed to me, but I’ve got to make guys like that proud.”
Yuta has recently made great strides in AEW, becoming a member of William Regal's Blackpool Combat Club stable alongside Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley.
