WWE fans haven't seen Brock Lesnar in the flesh on television since April 27 when he won

that

Steel Cage Match against Roman Reigns to retain his Universal Championship. Everyone tuning into this week's Raw expected some kind of reference to The Beast Incarnate after he hit the headlines over the weekend by seemingly challenging new UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier.

However, once more, Lesnar didn't show up for work, yet surprisingly, WWE didn't capitalise on arguably their biggest name making noises heard all around the world. The reason for this, according to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, is down to Vince McMahon banning any mention of Lesnar's name.

The report read: "At the production meeting before Raw, McMahon told everyone that the show in Boston is to focus completely on building Extreme Rules, a show Lesnar isn’t on, so his name wasn’t to be mentioned."

And as for when Brock's name will be mentioned in WWE's programming again, McMahon reportedly said:  “When he’s being offered to our audience and we can capitalize on it.”

When Brock will be back on WWE TV is a bit up in the air at the moment. Last month, Mike Johnson of PWInsider revealed that

Brock will not be working SummerSlam in August

– noting, the 40-year-old might not be set to return to television until later in the year.

It looks like whoever comes out on top in the Bobby Lashley vs. Roman Reigns feud - with their match expected to main event Sunday's Extreme Rules event - will be the next in line to try and take the Universal Championship away from Lesnar. When any potential match will happen, however, is anyone's guess.
