TNA Wrestling have brought in several new and old faces alike over the past few weeks, although it appears that some of them remain free agents and are yet to sign exclusive deals with the promotion.

The likes of Matt Hardy and Matt Cardona are currently working for TNA without full-time deals, and it seems that Zack Clayton and Steph De Lander are also working for the promotion under similar circumstances.

Speaking with Darren Paltrowitz of the Paltrocast, Clayton said the following about his current TNA run as part of the new FBI:

"As far as why did I come to TNA? I was invited. That's the biggest thing. I haven't signed any agreements yet. I have no commitments. I'd like to be involved in all of the upcoming schedule, but I just want to wrestle. I want to be a television wrestler. That's the goal. I was invited to be around this great group of people and I'm happy to do it. Now, with the FBI, I get to have a lot of fun being creative. This isn't something we were put into and now we have to deal with. That's not the case. Ray Jaz, Guido, and I, we text every day. Not just about business. We just text to have fun, get to know each other, have fun. We're looking forward to the future and what TNA has to offer us," said Clayton.

As for De Lander, the indie stand-out said the following to Fightful about her contractual status:

"I am still a free agent. Yes, yeah. It definitely suits me right now to be independent. But, I guess, we’ll see how everything unfolds. I’m not against signing anywhere. It’s just, as Matt [Cardona] says, the money has to be right and it has to align with what I want to do. So, yeah, we’ll see what happens over the next six months or so. But for now I’m still a free agent, which is an exciting place to be," said De Lander.

De Lander works extensively with Cardona in TNA and on the indies, and revealed a little more about her current standing within TNA:

"I worked for them last year at the very start of last year and kind just of dipped my toes in, did one loop. So I met everyone then and created those connections. But obviously now, with Scott [D’Amore] not being there, it’s slightly different and the people you speak to are different. But, in my case - pre-Matt’s injury - all of my stuff was including Matt. So I went through him. Matt just messaged me and was like, ‘Hey, TNA want to use us for X, Y, Z. What do you think?’ We spoke about it and he dealt with the logistics of that. Now that things have changed and Matt is hurt, and obviously since being there on the weekend for me now is more of a direct line, but at the start it was Matt coming to me with the idea. He had spoken to them and then going from there. So I will be there in Albany for Under Siege and also a TV taping. From there it’s kind of, ‘Let’s see what happens.’ The other thing too, honestly, with all this kind of stuff, it comes down to availability, and Matt and I have a very full calendar. So, yeah, it’s what works for me, what works for them and hopefully we can come up with something great," continued De Lander.
