All Elite Wrestling presented what many have called the best US pay-per-view since WrestleMania 17 last month with All Out 2021.

The show featured several big moments, including The Lucha Brothers vs. The Young Bucks Steel Cage Match, Ruby Soho's AEW debut, Chris Jericho's victory over MJF and CM Punk's first pro wrestling match in seven years.

The show also ended in epic fashion as Adam Cole made his AEW debut and initially teased fighting The Elite before reuniting with his former Bullet Club brothers. Then, as the crowd thought the show was over, Bryan Danielson debuted in AEW and took down The Elite with Jurassic Express and Christian Cage to end the pay-per-view standing tall.

Speaking to DAZN about the closing moments of All Out, AEW President Tony Khan revealed he wanted it to be like WCW Bash At The Beach 1996 when Hulk Hogan formed the nWo with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, just one step further.

"Do you remember Bash at the Beach '96? That's what I wanted at All Out, but I also wanted to go one step further," Khan began. "You've already this great show with great action and then Adam Cole comes out and you think he's there to take on The Elite. Instead, he joins the group the way Hogan turned heel. Is that the close to the show? No but it would've been a good ending regardless.

"[Then] here comes Bryan Danielson. One of the best wrestlers there's ever been and he's here in AEW. Cole and Danielson in one segment. That was pretty cool."

Tony Khan isn't the only person in AEW management to have mentioned Bash At The Beach 1996 recently. AEW EVP Cody Rhodes brought up the event in reference to AEW Rampage: The First Dance and called CM Punk's return the most important show since Hogan formed the nWo in Daytona Beach.
