Tony Khan Heaps Praise On Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson has become one of All Elite Wrestling’s most important stars, with it recently revealed that ‘The American Dragon’ is a key figure backstage, as well as a dominating presence in the ring.

Danielson recently helped put together the June 2 ‘Championship Friday’ edition of AEW Rampage, and AEW President Tony Khan has praised Danielson for his work in the company, saying the following to Sports Illustrated:

“Bryan and I have had a very close relationship since he came to AEW,” says Khan. “He’s one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, and he’s one of the most intelligent people I’ve ever known. He has a great mind, and I love talking to him about stories, matches, ideas and psychology. I work with a number of people closely to bounce ideas off, and Bryan has been involved with us in the office more than ever lately. He had some very complimentary things to say about our relationship and working together, and to receive that type of praise from someone I respect so much, those are quotes I’d want on my tombstone.”

Danielson is currently in the midst of a main event feud with his fellow Blackpool Combat Club members against The Elite, and is set to take on Kazuchika Okada at the upcoming AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II event later this month.
