The AEW World Tag Team Championships were showcased in one of the matches of the night at All Out on Sunday, September 4, as Swerve In Our Glory clashed with The Acclaimed in a widely-praised contest that had fans on the edge of their seats for each near fall.

Part of the reason for the crowd's reaction, though, was those in attendance in Chicago were desperate for The Acclaimed to come out on top and capture the titles but that ultimately did not happen as Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland retained the gold, pinning Anthony Bowens.

Some questioned why AEW did not call an audible while the match was ongoing and Tony Khan was asked about this during the AEW All Out media scrum. While Khan did not say much on the topic, he did consider booking a rematch for AEW's upcoming Grand Slam show from Arthur Ashe Stadium on September 21.

"I personally think with Grand Slam coming up, AEW Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe, Dynamite and Rampage, big special coming up September 21. I can't image a better match for New York than hypothetically a rematch between Keith and Swerve vs. The Acclaimed," Khan said.

Keith Lee seemed open to the idea but Swerve Strickland was immediately unhappy with the suggestion, saying: "Tony, I'm sorry, I think they are because this is another f*cking tag team that says they want the belts on them rather than us. How many more times are we gonna do that?"

Strickland did acknowledge that Tony Khan was the boss, however, and the AEW President argued there was not a bigger match for Grand Slam than the AEW World Tag Team Champions vs. the winningest tag team in AEW history.

If the match will be booked ultimately remains to be seen.
