The backstage scene in TNA Wrestling is believed to be uneasy right now, with the firing of former President Scott D’Amore having angered many in the locker room.

TNA talents wrote a letter to TNA owners Anthem after D’Amore’s sacking, and a report from PWInsider suggests that a talent meeting is scheduled for Saturday, February 24. The report states that some within TNA believe Anthem head Len Asper will be present for the meeting, but it’s not believed that D’Amore will be in attendance.

Despite the successful rebrand from IMPACT back into TNA Wrestling, D’Amore was relieved of his duties in early February, with Anthem believed to have a different vision for the company from D’Amore, and reportedly wanting to bring TNA in line with other company properties.

Anthem are believed to want to cut costs across the promotion, with D’Amore having earmarked 2024 as a year of expansion for TNA. Despite this, TNA recently announced they had exercised an option year on former TNA World Champion Josh Alexander’s contract, with the ‘Walking Weapon’ originally voicing his openness to walking away from the company at the expiration of his deal in February 2024.
