TBS Title Tournament Finals & Tag Team Title Match Set For January 5 AEW Dynamite

The first-ever episode of AEW Dynamite on TBS will feature an AEW Tag Team Championship bout and the Finals of the TBS Women's Title Tournament.

Jade Cargill will meet Ruby Soho in the final match of the TBS Title Tournament next week after she defeated Thunder Rosa on the Wednesday 29 episode to advance to the finals. Cargill was helped to victory by a hooded figure, who revealed herself to be Mercedes Martinez after the match. As Cargill and Martinez beat down Rosa after the bout, Soho arrived to make the save.

Soho earned her place in the Finals by defeating Nyla Rose on last week's AEW Dynamite. The winner of the match with Cargill will be crowned the first-ever TBS Champion, a new title in the AEW women’s division.

Elsewhere, the Lucha Brothers will defend their AEW Tag Team Titles against Jurassic Express on next Wednesday's AEW Dynamite.

The bout was made after an angry Christian Cage made the challenge on behalf of Jurassic Express on this week's show. Dissention between Cage and Penta El Zero had led to the five men losing a ten-man tag-team match in the opening bout of this week's Dynamite.

The two Championship matches have been confirmed for a show which will also see the highly anticipated rematch between 'Hangman' Adam Page and Bryan Danielson for the AEW World Championship.

It has also been confirmed that Brian Pillman Jr. will take on Malakai Black.
