Sting officially rode off into the Sunset at AEW Revolution 2024, teaming with Darby Allin to defeat The Young Bucks in his final wrestling match.

The NWA, WCW, TNA, and AEW ‘Icon’ isn’t putting his feet up or getting stuck into some gardening, with it announced that Sting is set to make his first post-retirement appearance at the upcoming GalaxyCon in Richmond, Virginia on March 16.

The convention circuit is a potentially lucrative deal for wrestlers, with stars such as The Undertaker able to command hundreds for an autograph and/or a photograph with fans.

Sting brought the curtain down on his career after a historic 39-year-run, one that saw him become a 12-time world champion across his runs in Jim Crockett Promotions, World Championship Wrestling, and TNA Wrestling. During the Monday Night Wars, Sting’s transition from the neon ‘Surfer’ into the black and white morose ‘Crow’ became one of the hottest angles in wrestling, with his battles against the New World Order cementing WCW as the number one pro-wrestling promotion on the planet.

After a quick run in WWE and subsequent first retirement, Sting came out of retirement after joining All Elite Wrestling in 2020, with Sting’s daredevil performances alongside Darby Allin earning rave reviews.
