New Japan Pro-Wrestling's next major event continues to draw closer as Summer Struggle in Jingu will take place on August 29 at Jingu Stadium in Tokyo, Japan. Two matches have already been announced for the show as Hiromu Takahashi will defend the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship against Taiji Ishimori, and EVIL and Tetsuya Naito will go one on one in a rematch from Dominion for the IWGP Heavyweight Title and IWGP Intercontinental Title.

Another member of Los Ingobernables De Japon is also looking to be added to the card as Shingo Takagi told Tokyo Sports he wants to defend his NEVER Openweight Championship in a Current Blast Deathmatch. However, The Dragon fears no one will have the nerve to face him in such a match.

Takagi said: "Have we all lost our nerve? Or is the popular period over. I want to set off big fireworks like a summer festival, like an outdoor festival. In that sense, I've also experienced blowing up, so I think it's possible to connect the history of 21 years ago with the history of the event."

The last time New Japan held a show in Jingu Stadium, it was main evented by The Great Muta vs. The Great Nita in a No Rope Explosive Barbed Wire Barricade Explosive Land Mine Double Hell Deathmatch. The two stars ultimately battled back and forth but Muta was able to pick up the win after 13 minutes.
