Former two-time ROH World Champion RUSH has revealed that his Ring of Honor contract is set to expire in January 2022.

RUSH revealed the news to Sports Illustrated, saying:

“My contract expires in January. So far, we have not talked about a contract renewal. I am very grateful to ROH. I am also a man of challenges and goals, and I’m open to listening to everyone.”

RUSH’s contractual status with ROH is often under scrutiny, with RUSH re-signing with ROH in early 2021 amidst speculation that he could have left the promotion, with WWE at one point interested in bringing RUSH and brother Dragon Lee into the fold.

What RUSH’s next steps are is completely up in the air at this point. Currently out of action, RUSH could well re-sign with ROH, but could just as easily head to AAA full-time, or join former Los Ingobernables partner Andrade El Idolo in AEW.

Whatever RUSH chooses next, don’t be surprised if Dragon Lee and father Bestia Del Ring follow him.
