Rusev has removed all references to WWE from his Twitter account after it was announced that Chris Jericho would be replacing him in the Casket Match against The Undertaker at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia.

The Bulgarian Brute has tweeted since the announcement was made on WWE.com earlier today, stating: "Life is life..... it will be #RusevDay somewhere"

Instead of facing The Deadman in a Casket Match,

Newsweek

are reporting that WWE confirmed to them that Rusev will be taking Y2J's place in the 50-man Royal Rumble match. Now, with all mention of WWE removed from his Twitter bio

and

rumours that he asked for his release from the company shortly before WrestleMania 34, surely that appearance is in doubt? We'll have to wait and see with this one.

The reason for Rusev being replaced by Jericho is down to Lana - who hasn't been her real-life husband's on-screen manager in over a year. The Ravishing Russian doesn't want her husband to be in a Casket Match with 'Taker, so the company listened to her and pulled him from the bout.

"However, Lana, who originally showed public support for her husband competing against The Undertaker, recently tweeted second thoughts over The Bulgarian Brute competing in the grisly bout," part of a statement read on WWE.com.
