Jonathan Gresham’s quest to become a true fighting champion is set to continue, as he is scheduled to put the ROH World Championship on the line for PROGRESS Wrestling in February.

Gresham will be looking to put on a successful defence against Chris Ridgeway at PROGRESS Chapter 128 at Manchester’s o2 Ritz on February 6.

PROGRESS will be the fifth promotion Gresham will have brought the ROH World Title to since winning the belt in December at Ring of Honor Final Battle. After defeating Jay Lethal for the vacant strap - a last minute replacement after Bandido was pulled due to COVID - Gresham has successfully defended the strap in GCW, New South Pro Wrestling, IMPACT Wrestling, and in his own TERMINUS promotion.

Gresham has so-far defended the title under ‘pure rules’, but had to pull out of a recent defence against Blake Christian at The Wrld on GCW due to a positive COVID-19 diagnosis. Gresham subsequently pulled out of the PWG Battle of Los Angeles during Royal Rumble weekend due to the diagnosis.
