He may have lost the FTW Title to Hook, but the only way is up for Ricky Starks, and ‘Absolute’ wants more singles gold in AEW.

Starks has become one of the most beloved babyfaces in AEW, and if he gets past former ally Powerhouse Hobbs, Starks wants the big one, saying on a Bleacher Report AMA session:

"I definitely think going for the AEW World Title and going for the TNT Title as well. It’s been a long time coming with me and things have been brewing. I don’t think of myself as an up-and-coming star. I hate that word because I’m a current star. It’s just a matter of putting the pen to paper and really just proving my worth, which I’ve been doing since 2020,” said Starks.

Starks signed with AEW in June 2020, debuting on Dynamite in June in an unsuccessful attempt at Cody Rhodes’ TNT Championship. Starks would eventually go on to be the longest reigning FTW Champion in history at 378 days, but is yet to taste sanctioned AEW gold.
